What is ManExs MES?
ManEx integrates a fully functional and comprehensive Manufacturing Execution System into its overall architecture to help you manage production and shop floor activity. The basic shop floor management system comes as part of the standard ManEx package, with a series of optional, fully integrated modules to let you select as many or as few functions as needed for your company.

ManEx provides an effective Manufacturing Execution System for small and midsize electronics contract (ECM), Design-to-Order, Cable & Harness and Military Electronic manufacturers. ManEx's MES has created a Shop Floor Management system that has specialized functionality needed by companies in this unique industry niche.

Specialized Solutions
Like the rest of the ManEx system, these MES functions are tailored to the specific needs of these particular manufacturers, with targeted functionality other ERP systems can’t match. Some of the following reflect a few of MES's specialized focus for this specific industry:

- Item Master Control Management (ICM): The challenge of inventory control for contract manufacturers is made more difficult by complex inventory requirements needing the use of multiple parts numbers and divisions of inventory. Nearly all other ERP systems simply aren't set up to deal with this kind of complexity. ManEx's MES, however, provides the specialized capabilities ECMs, Design-to-Order and Cable & Harness Manufacturers need in order to turn a very complicated challenge into a very manageable task.
- Product Data Management (PDM): This sections allows for the easy management of the information associated with the production of a product. It closely integrates with the Product Routing module. Detailed work instructions, tasks checklist, auto alerts, feedback, historical data and all documents related to a particular product are maintained in this module.
-Real Time Shop Floor Tracking by Bar Code (BC): MES provides the option to track shop floor activities using bar code processes for streamlined operations. This is an Optional module and can be added and integrated into the system at any point.

Imagine capturing all critical information provided by the shop floor via a simple workstation. You can receive the user’s electronic validation and verification ensuring that instructions, critical quality information and safety information have been read and followed. On top of adding peace of mind this makes each an every individual accountable for performing their task(s) correctly. This ensures the best quality product and also shows ISO and government audit agencies a clear electronic trail from product requirements to execution in manufacturing.

Effective Production Scheduling
MES's Dynamic Product Scheduling module is concerned with the techniques that can be employed to manage the activities that need to be undertaken during the development of a project. Scheduling can be carried out well in advance of the project begins and involves identifying the tasks, estimating the time needed, allocating resources and scheduling when the tasks will actually take place.

Efficient Job Costing
Work Order Job Costing (JC) collects all cost information relating to a Work Order and provides you with graphical and reported results. It allows you to better track, evaluate, and calculate costs and optimize use of materials and profitability. Numerous tools and information sources related to costing are provided here.

Excellent Shop Floor Control
Real Time Shop Floor Tracking (SFT) allows you to to manage and carry out your shop floor activities real time. Materials are transferred from works centers, move tickets are printed, transaction histories are recorded, production flows are verified and checked, scrap material costs are tracked and FGI are posted automatically... all are done, real time, as they happen on the production floor. Work order notes can be created, edited and viewed, engineers' notes and feedback can also be recorded in this module.

MES promotes conitnuous improvements through controlling and monitoring the shop floor process to insure high level of quality and on time delivery.
